Acceptable Use Policy
Rules for using the FREMIX Exchange peering fabric.
Technical rules
- One source MAC address per physical connection. MAC moves must be coordinated with us first.
- Respond to ARP only for the addresses assigned to your port.
- No proxy-ARP on peering VLANs.
- Layer 2 protocols (STP, CDP, LLDP, LACP on peering ports, DHCP, RA/SLAAC) are disabled or filtered — do not emit them.
- Announce to the route servers the same prefixes you would announce to a bilateral peer.
- Do not point a default route or static route at another member's address.
Prohibited use
- Traffic that is unlawful, fraudulent, or intended to harm other networks.
- Sniffing, monitoring, or intercepting traffic that is not addressed to you.
- Originating traffic with spoofed source addresses.
- Announcing prefixes you are not authorised to originate, or leaking routes learned on the fabric to parties that should not receive them.
- Any use detrimental to other members' use of the exchange.
Enforcement
Violations may result in the offending session or port being shut down while we investigate. Persistent or serious violations lead to termination of membership under the Terms of Service. Where a violation risks the wider exchange, we may act first and notify after.
Reporting
To report abuse originating from a FREMIX Exchange member: contact us or email [email protected]. Include the source address, timestamps (with timezone), and packet captures or logs where available.
